Who this covers
Shop owners create accounts. Their clients do not. A client who books an appointment is the shop's customer. We store the details the booking form asks for so the shop can run the visit and the cancellation rule.
Information we collect
- Account data: name, email, and a password hash. We do not store the password itself.
- Shop data: name, booking link, business type, city, phone, hours, services, prices, deposit rules, and cancellation policy.
- Appointment data: client name, email, phone, the service, the time, the deposit amount, and whether it was paid, kept, or refunded.
- Payment references: a Stripe connected-account id, Checkout session id, and payment intent id. We do not store full card numbers. Stripe processes the card.
- A session cookie that keeps a shop owner logged in.
How we use it
We use this information to host the booking page, charge or refund a deposit under the shop's window, show the shop its calendar and deposit totals, and operate the trial. We do not sell personal information. We do not use it for advertising profiles.
Stripe
Deposits are direct charges on the shop's Stripe Connect Express account. Stripe's own privacy policy covers card data and the connected account. If you delete a Slotward account, we delete our copy of shop and client records and ask Stripe to delete the Express account when it will. Stripe may keep transaction records it is required to keep as a payment processor.
How long we keep it
We keep account and appointment records while the shop account exists. Unpaid checkout holds expire after 30 minutes and are deleted. When a shop owner deletes their account, we delete the user, the shop, services, hours, and appointments, including client names and contact details stored here.
Cookies
The session cookie is httpOnly and is used only to recognize the logged-in owner. The public booking page does not require an account cookie.
