A gel set is a long chair. The deposit holds your time.
Slotward is one calendar for the tech who does the set. A client pays a deposit to book. Cancel outside your window and it refunds. Inside the window, or a missed visit, you keep it.
No card to start. No sales call. The Nail salon preset is selected on the next step. You can still pick a different one.
Example policy
This is the starting text from the Nail salon preset, which this page selects. It is an example you can edit after the shop exists. It is not a claim about what clients in this trade usually accept.
A deposit holds your appointment. Cancel more than 24 hours before the start and the deposit is refunded automatically. Cancel inside 24 hours, or miss the appointment, and the deposit is kept.
Booth rent is not a front desk
This does not split a salon calendar, pay your booth rent, or assign a station. It books the hours you turn on and takes the deposit on your Stripe account.
Longer sets can ask for more
The nail preset seeds a manicure, a pedicure, and a gel set. Each has its own price, length, and deposit. A flat amount and a percent can sit on different services.
The window is on the page before they pay
It starts at 24 hours. Clients read that wording before they pay. The appointment keeps the window it was booked under if you edit the policy later.
What the preset fills in
These are starting values. Every service, hour, and sentence can be edited after the shop exists.

Questions
Can I take a deposit on a gel set and not on a polish change?
Each service has its own deposit amount. This version does not let you publish a service with no deposit. If a short visit should not be booked here, leave it off the page.
Do clients pick a technician?
No. They pick a service and a time on your calendar. A second tech needs a second shop in this version.
Who gets the deposit if they don't show?
You do, on your Stripe account. Slotward does not take a cut of the deposit. If you mark a no-show after the visit was supposed to start, the deposit stays kept.
